equery list unsorted version output

can we sort the output of 'equery list -i -p <pkg>' a little more bit ... see the snip of 'Portage tree (/usr/portage)' - the version-numbers of gcc are 'very creative sorted'

Could the severity be updated since etcat -v was sorted and etcat is now deprecated ?

I agree, this "thing" is quite a bit annoying.
I would realy like a python/portage hacker to "sort this out" :)
