You seem to know exactly what is wrong and how to fix it and you purportedly maintain this package, and yet you choose to file a bug report instead of just fixing a bug that I can't reproduce without jumping through a bunch of hoops (like a ninja I presume).

There is another issue with the install phase, see bug #668858
