Hi,

There was a discussion https://bugs.gentoo.org/667548 concerning 'dev-libs/botan'  used by dev-qt/qt-creator as a dependency, namely the old version botan-1.10* is required for qt-creator
Unfortunately, dev-libs/botan-1.10* is end of life in this year
Could we initiate the work on qt-creator to transmit to a newer version '2.7.0'
The botan-1.10* is said to become obsolete, so the transmission to a newer version would be useful and more reliable

Support for botan-2 is introduced in qt-creator-4.7.
