emerge --info virtualbox

It's hard to describe in short words what happens when guest VM starts, but after the pseudo bios starts the window totally collapses vertically,
this might come from windowmaker instead of virtualbox
It occurs both with a locally compiled version or from the binaries of virtualbox-bin

I've uploaded a short video (30 seconds) showing this strange behavior
https://youtu.be/XDK8F-tsU8M since a short image will tell more than what I can describe

I joined the emerge --info of VB,

This problem occured already last year, and I found the solution but I forgot to save it anywhere, and I'm unable to find it again.
It was a one-liner solution, that's all I remember, I was in a hurry at the moment and forgot to save the modification.

It is sad to read that you have problems with the software. The situation seems to be a bit more complicate and requires some analysis.
I think you should try a different window manager. However,
we can not help you efficiently via bug tracker. The bug tracker aims rather on specific problems in .ebuilds and less on individual systems.

I have had very good experience on the gentoo IRC [1] with questions like this. Of course there are also forums and mailing lists [2,3].
I hope you understand, that I will close the bug here therefore and wish you good luck on one of the mentioned channels [4].
Please reopen the ticket in order to provide an indication for an specific error in an ebuild or any gentoo related product.
