Relevant prefs:
SQLITE_ENABLE_FTS3
SQLITE_ENABLE_FTS3_PARENTHESIS
SQLITE_ENABLE_FTS3_TOKENIZER

In particular, SQLITE_ENABLE_FTS3_TOKENIZER is required to compile thunderbird with system libs, but I discovered it was not possible to build without modifying the ebuild as there is no useflag for it.

The secure part of FTS3 is enabled unconditionally.
SQLITE_ENABLE_FTS3_TOKENIZER will not be enabled.
