There is a bug in mainline kernel if CONFIG_KVM_INTEL is disabled, which makes it impossible to compile. It has been already fixed by Guenter Roeck:

Applying the patch manually makes kernel compile and run fine on mu AMD APU netbook.

I've tested this patch. It fixes 4.14.63 as well.
