net-fs/samba-4.9.0_rc2 doesn't build due to
Checking for system pyldb-util (>=1.4.1 <=1.4.999)                                              : not found 
ERROR: System library pyldb-util of version 1.4.1 not found, and bundling disabled
 * ERROR: net-fs/samba-4.9.0_rc2::gentoo failed (configure phase):
 *   configure failed


I do have the python use flag for sys-libs/ldb

What version of sys-libs/ldb do you have installed?
