Forget to mention that when I click "Connect" on the connection, a "VPN secrets (strongswan) dialog -- KDE Daemon" pops up and requires a password. Connection attempt was not made after providing the password (confirmed via packet capturing; no ikev2 auth packets leave the system). Probably related: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1040060-start-0.html But /usr/share/polkit-1/rules.d/01-org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.settings.modify.system.rules is present in my filesystem (with the same contents as what's in the post above); maybe the patch has already been merged? $ whoami jsteward $ groups wheel usb users plugdev jsteward Hm, I am unable to reproduce. My EAP connection just works fine here. My password is also saved. Did you tried, when you set the icon in the password field, to save the password into your keyring? Does this also cause the problem? Note: I am not using KDE here, only i3, but with nm-applet. Does KDE use nm-applet too or only builds on top of it? Closing, since I can't reproduce in any way. |
