Same here. I've tried suppressing -Werror with per-package environment variables, but it seems -Werror is enforced by the build system anyway... Seems not just GCC8, I've tried it with GCC6&7 and met the same problem. I've opened an issue at fwupd's repo: https://github.com/hughsie/fwupd/issues/631 The temporary solution is to use the patch below. Created attachment 542776 [details, diff]

Fixed by upstream in 34ea74fb2ce17a2891d8e692a43ba97645557796: https://github.com/hughsie/fwupd/commit/34ea74fb2ce17a2891d8e692a43ba97645557796 The next release should work correctly. Affected versions are no longer in portage. |
