I tested the sys-apps/grep-2.5.1-r6.ebuild, it compiles without errors on OSX (FEATURES="-collision-protect" required, though) and seems to be working. ppc-macos keyword should be added.

This depends on bug 67162. Will take a look at it when 67162 has gotten somewhere. Until then, this 
bug should remain frozen.
