Tested bootstrapping 2.02-r2 with Python 3.6 via PYTHON_COMPAT_OVERRIDE

Works OK here.

Please consider adding this for a smooth transition.
If Python 3.5 is preferred, it would prevent depcleaning otherwise (without a user doing the same as testing what I did).
