patch unexpectedly ends in middle of line patch: **** Only garbage was found in the patch input. looks like it got corrupted for you please post the patch as an attachment and the output of this command: grep 'rsync://' /var/log/emerge.log | tail Created attachment 40724 [details]

that file is def corrupted i checked the two rsync mirrors you used for your last 6 rsyncs and the files is fine on them ... perhaps that file is the result of a fsck try `rm -rf /usr/portage/net-misc/rsync ; emerge sync` and see if it works for you That did the trick. Thanks a bunch. It starting doing this quite a while ago. I was hoping that possibly it was a bug that would be fixed shortly, but it was on my end. I will be more responsive to post a bug from now on. Again thank you. i'd suggest rebooting your system and forcing a fsck on the disks ... then `emerge sync` to make sure your tree is semi-sane ... that should help i think |
