When I run k3b as root it detects the device properly. Is this a permissions issue? Also I'm using kernel 2.6.8, which cdrecord -scanbus notes 'has issues'. This does not seem like a k3b bug after all, so I will set this to INVALID (?) I had some problems too with the k3b under 2.6.8.1 (development-sources). I was neither able to erase the DVD-RW as normal user (error box: Unable to determine the current formatting state ...), nor write it. Then I saw your post. And indeed on 2.6.8-gentoo-r4 everything works fine. |
