rhythmbox needs a more advanced notification icon. Current the icon only features "play/pause", "previous", "next" and "show window". I would prefer seeing the song information of the possible "previous" or "next" songs. Furthermore a popup list of maybe 10-20 adjacent songs would be nice to inform the user.

This is not a gentoo bug. i suggest you look on the rhythmbox website for information on how to make feature request via their bugtracker, or their mailing list. Marking INVALID.
