Synergy ebuild works if x11 virtual package is commented out. I'm not sure how the x11 virtuaql package is currently handled in OS X and if there is a valid work around to merge it but if I comment it out the synergy ebuild works great.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.edit synergy-1.0.8.ebuild
2.add macos to keywords
3.comment out the DEPEND
4. emerge package

Actual Results:  
builds and installs.
