The /usr/share/doc/nvidia-cuda-sdk-9.1.85 directory is present. It contains a bunch of readme.txt with the description of what the example is supposed to do, but such an example (the source code) is not present.

All CUDA related stuff is installed to /opt/cuda/, only the documentation is not. The binaries as well as the source code of the examples are located at /opt/cuda/sdk.
