Description gunix 2004-09-22 23:43:44 UTC
If I do emerge -uDpv world I get this:
[ebuild N ] kde-base/kdelibs-3.1.5-r1
[ebuild UD] kde-base/kdelibs-3.2.0 [3.2.3-r2]

and emerge -s kdelibs tells me that I have version 3.3.0 installed.

If I have 3.3.0 installed, will not installing any earlier version like 3.1.5 or 3.2.X be a problem and overwrite the existing kdelibs? Or can I have all these together?
And is really 3.2.3-r2 installed?

This is VERY confusing. Would someone, that knows more about kdelibs than I, like to have a look at this?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

No, they're slotted separately. The Gentoo forums and documentation have all of this information in them.

this is probably the best resolution for this bug.
