See bug 33547, which I'm not allowed to reopen:

The executable "regcomp", which is dynamically created and executed during an emerge of openoffice-ximian-1.3.4, is killed by the PaX execution protection (it is linked against the Java VM library).

How can I apply "paxctl" to an executable dynamically created during an emerge?


Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
emerge openoffice-ximian-1.3.4 with "java" in the USE flags on a kernel with PaX (hardened-dev-sources-2.6.7-r8).
Actual Results:  
PaX kills regcomp, emerge fails.
