Bug 64933

Summary: gdk-pixbuf needs gnome USE flag in ebuild

Description Sumit Khanna 2004-09-21 23:10:36 UTC
gdk-pixbuf claims to require orbit and gnome-libs both from gnome 1, however emerging it with the --nodeps option works fine. A gnome use flag needs to be added that when turned off (-gnome) removed the dependency for the old versions of orbit and gnome-libs since most people don't like having gnome 1 stored on their gnome 2 machines.

I only use gdk-pixbuf with gtk-engines-smooth and gtk-engines-smooth works fine with a gdk-pixbuf that's emerged without gnome-1.4 and orbit-0.5 support.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -p gdk-pixbuf
2.
3.

Actual Results:
old versions of orbit and gnome-libs were required

Expected Results:
if the -gnome flag is set for this package, neither orbit or gnome-libs should
be required
