Yes, I know, but I think the fixed versions should be marked stable the sooner the better, or people running stable-only packages will stick with the buggy version.
Comment 3 Joe McCann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-21 15:15:56 UTC
you cite 0.5.2b as being fixed and the stable version number in the tree is 0.5.3.
Comment 4 Marcos González 2004-09-21 15:22:45 UTC
Oh, I apologize. I pasted the wrong information:

Elemento:0.5.3c (bugfix)This is a bugfix release to fix a bad memory leak. Please upgrade. (0 comments)

"autogen.sh" before building the source. I've build the tarball with automake 1.4 and the install scripts seem to install the html rendering module libraries without the .so extension. When the program is run it cannot find them without the suffix.I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks to all of you who reported this problem! (0 comments)

I see both 0.5.3 and 0.5.3c seem to have problems. Sorry, I confused the version numbers. BTW I'm using 0.6.0 and all goes fine.
Comment 5 Marcos González 2004-09-21 15:25:13 UTC
Sorry again, I posted only a part of the info. Here is the complete one:

If you have problems with the 0.5.3c source tarball please run "autoreconf --force" or "autogen.sh" before building the source. I've build the tarball with automake 1.4 and the install scripts seem to install the html rendering module libraries without the .so extension. When the program is run it cannot find them without the suffix.
