There are new version of this library already: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/ldap3 

Simple bump from original 2.2.3 Gentoo ebuild works fine.

I have created a pull request that bumps this package. - https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/pull/8259

I need the newer version of ldap3 for net-proxy/mitmproxy package :)
