Description Benjamin Schindler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-18 02:55:02 UTC
When trying to play any mp3 song, amarok would crash (and I've been unable to gather a backtrace so far)

I submitted that bug to bugs.kde.org since amarok-1.0.1 would just work, which makes me believe that it's a amarok bug.
The kde-bug is here:
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89704

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start amarok
2.Use xine-plugin (Not sure whether this is required though)
3.try playing an mp3 song

Actual Results:
Segmentation fault

Comment 1 Jeremy Huddleston (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-18 11:26:36 UTC
This is beta software which we provide for convenience and testing, but the bug needs to be reported upstream. I've placed the beta version in package.mask, so sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for reporting upstream.
Comment 2 Gavrila 2004-09-21 04:21:19 UTC
This version is masked badly. There is a typo in /usr/portage/profile/package.mask:

wrong  =media-sound/amarok-1.1-beta2

right =media-sound/amarok-1.1_beta2
Comment 3 Jeremy Huddleston (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-23 16:53:29 UTC
fixed. thanks.
