I've made an ebuild for xmms-xf86audio, "which enables the multimedia keys on many modern keyboards to control XMMS playback." (http://www.devin.com/xmms-xf86audio/)

it would be nice to see this make its way to portage its a nice plugin
very usefull on my laptop

one item i would change in the ebuild is add
OPT="${CFLAGS}"
to the make compile line
and possably change the install path to grab it from the xmms-config script instead of being hardcoded
dodoc on the readme would be nice also
looks good otherwise
