Unfortunately I have not yet been able to confirm the bug. From looking at the code I think it could be because XEmacs requires berkdb compatibility so adding that as dependency on gdbm could maybe be the right solution. I have no system available where I can get gdbm built without having berkdb flag set so I can't check this theory. Is it possible for you to build gdbm with berkdb flag set to check if that configuration solves the issue? Yes, that helps. (In reply to Mats Lidell from comment #2) at a tinderbox image 17.0 with "gdbm -berkdb" the package xemacs was emerged fine (In reply to Toralf Förster from comment #4) > (In reply to Mats Lidell from comment #2) > at a tinderbox image 17.0 with "gdbm -berkdb" the package xemacs was emerged > fine The interesting part if gdbm has "berkdb" set or not. (In reply to Rolf Eike Beer from comment #3) > Yes, that helps. xemacs-21.4.24-r1.ebuild has been updated with a use dependency on berkdb for gdbm. This will ensure that when gdbm is set gdbm must be built with berkdb. Please give it a try. seems to work Thanks for verifying. I'll speed up on stabilizing xemacs-21.4.24-r1.ebuild. |
