Description François Bissey 2004-09-16 16:14:35 UTC
Both mozilla-1.7.3 and firefox-1.0_pre appeared in the ppc tree this morning.
emerging firefox-1.0_pre fails during compilation with the following message:

g++ -o nsSupportsArrayEnumerator.o -c -DOSTYPE=\"Linux2.6\" -DOSARCH=\"Linux\" -D_IMPL_NS_COM  -I../../dist/include/string -I../../dist/include/xpcom -I../../dist/include -I/var/tmp/portage/mozilla-firefox-1.0_pre/work/mozilla/dist/include/nspr     -I/usr/X11R6/include   -fPIC  -I/usr/X11R6/include -fno-rtti -fno-exceptions-Wconversion -Wpointer-arith -Wcast-align -Woverloaded-virtual -Wsynth -Wno-ctor-dtor-privacy -Wno-non-virtual-dtor -Wno-long-long -mcpu=7450 -pipe -Wno-deprecated -fshort-wchar -pthread -pipe  -DNDEBUG -DTRIMMED -ffunction-sections -O2  -I/usr/X11R6/include -DMOZILLA_CLIENT -include ../../mozilla-config.h -Wp,-MD,.deps/nsSupportsArrayEnumerator.pp nsSupportsArrayEnumerator.cpp
The bug is not reproducible, so it is likely a hardware or OS problem.

This bug may be related to a bug in mozilla-1.7.3 preventing the compilation
there to fail as well (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64321) however
it is not on the same file.

Comment 2 François Bissey 2004-09-16 23:39:34 UTC
Sorry about the mayhem, like with mozilla-1.7.3 it turns out that it is linked
to a configuration problem. See bug (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64321

Now it compiles successfully, but haven't tried yet.
