same with 6.8.0-r1 (internal rev 1.10) I've got the same problem on "xorg-x11 6.8.0-r1". Having just emerged xorg-x11-6.8.0-r1, I found a couple of problems with fonts: The b&h lucida* iso-8859-* fonts are *missing* from the 75/100 dpi bitmap fonts, the fonts.alias files in those directories are consequently wrong and apps like emacs which don't seem to like the remaining iso-10646 lucida fonts don't work properly. I saw the same messages during the emerge as already reported (not sure that they're very important though?), but I also saw a couple of segfaults and when I run mkfontdir manually in /usr/share/fonts/default/ghostscript/ it does indeed segfault. (I haven't found the other directory it segfaulted in yet). Please file separate bugs for separate issues.
