i was planning on making a new snapshot after fixing a few gcc 3.4 problems, but it seems that those are becoming less and less likely to be fixed. there are other reasons for wanting those libpthread fixes, but i guess allowing the brave and nutty to play with gcc 4.0 is as good a reason as any. i'll be making a new snapshot that should show up in the tree within a few days. possibly more depending on testing and such, or if i actually get any feedback on the gcc 3.4 work. check out the new glibc snapshot in portage |
