As was noted on the Github issues (https://github.com/i-rinat/freshplayerplugin/issues/364), Flash applets are unable to access network resources (at least on Firefox >=57), which has now been fixed in version 0.3.9
A simple version bump seems to be enough, though there's a cmake warning that WITH_GTK is not used, so the gtk flag is unused.
