I am not sure which previous bug report you were trying to duplicate most. Sorry, I was only trying to help... I did not find these bugs with my (obviously unsatisfactory) search for solutions to the problem, so when I managed to solve it myself I simply wrote down my findings. Luckily it became an easy to resolve bug. No harm done, eh? (In reply to pste from comment #2) > Sorry, I was only trying to help... No,, there's no problem. Thanks for reporting. > I did not find these bugs with my (obviously unsatisfactory) search for > solutions to the problem, so when I managed to solve it myself I simply > wrote down my findings. The real problem is that bugzilla does not search for recently closed bug reports. |
Created attachment 506890 [details] emerge --info During an update (~amd64, gcc-7.2) I ran into some snags of which net-dns/libidn-1.33-r2 was one that I managed to resolve by consulting emerge log files a couple of times. By manually running: emerge -av1 automake:1.14 (I only had automake:1.15 installed), and emerge -av1 gengetopt (which was not installed on my system at all) libidn-1.33-r2 finally compiled OK. Have I perhaps stumbled upon two missing dependencies in the ebuild? /pste
