perhaps did upstream delete the files due to the bump to

We are aware of this issue, they are undergoing a wiki migration and the links broke.  Wibrown@ will address this when he lands back in .au

Looks like they are available at https://releases.pagure.org/389-ds-base/${P}.tar.bz2 now, I'll update the ebuilds shortly
