output from an emerge of gcc-3.3.3_pre20040408-r1
I tried to compile an older version of gcc (3.3.3_pre20040408-r1) on the same
system. The previously posted emerge info still applies. gcc once again fails
to build on my old world mac. The compiler generates a segmentation fault. See
the end of the output file for more information.
binutils version? Also could you use -mtune=604 instead of -mcpu=604. Could you also try with -O2 and get us the output of emerge -vp binutils? Changing this to needinfo. i successfully merged gcc-3.4.1-r3 on a oldworld G3 i suggest you try this rev i did bootstrap the system with a recent stage1, this system never saw gcc 3.2 bug closed, reopen if this continues to be a problem |
