Fails the same. Please try to reproduce with =sys-apps/coreutils-8.29. If you are still able to reproduce we have to report upstream. The stdbuf test works in 8.29, but that has bug 642492. Thanks for testing coreutils-8.29. Is the test always failing for you in coreutils-8.28-r1? I am unable to determine a change in coreutils-8.29 which could have fix the problem. If you or anybody else can identify the commit in 8.29 fixing the problem, this would allow us to backport. Looks like the stdbuf test does not always fail, at least this time it worked. Should I continue with stabilization for sparc then? Yes, please proceed with stabilization. I'll report this unstable test to upstream. |
