For media-plugins/audacious-plugins-3.9 the 'ampache' USE flag pulls www-apps/ampache.  It should pull media-libs/ampache_browser instead.

www-apps/ampache is the Ampache server (which can be installed on a different machine).  media-libs/ampache_browser is a client library which connects to an Ampache server.
