Very unfortunately,

had to be been closed down
and was removed from overlays/repositories.xml:

Currently up-to-date and perfectly working versions of vmware-workstation:

  - Bug 671218


HINT concerning vmware-player:
  - just install above;
  - vmware-player will be included :-)
