VIX 1.15 is the release for VMware Fusion 8 and Workstation 12 ( EOL already announced for 2018 / 02 / 25 ) . [ https://www.vmware.com/support/developer/vix-api/ ] Dilfridge has already completely removed all other VMware Products from Main Portage Tree - this should follow. Hard-mask, but keep in [VMWARE Overlay] in case somebody volunteers for adaption to a current version. P.S.: Strange: equery list -p -F '[$location] [$mask] $cpv:$slot [$repo]' 'vmware-vix' does not find it, although /usr/portage/app-emulation/vmware-vix/ looks proper.
