If I delete libnfsidmap, 'MAKEOPTS=-j1 emerge -v1 nfs-utils' fails with: ... Making all in idmapd make[2]: Entering directory '/var/tmp/portage/net-fs/nfs-utils-2.2.1/work/nfs-utils-2.2.1/utils/idmapd' x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I../../support/include -I/usr/include/tirpc -D_GNU_SOURCE -Wall -Wextra -Wstrict-prototypes -pipe -march=native -O2 -pipe -c -o idmapd.o idmapd.c idmapd.c:62:22: fatal error: nfsidmap.h: No such file or directory #include <nfsidmap.h> ^ compilation terminated. make[2]: *** [Makefile:524: idmapd.o] Error 1 Created attachment 503086 [details]

(The second problem is bug #636818.) (possible) workaround:
USE="-kerberos" emerge nfs-utils
At least it worked for me (no kerberos authentication required). net-libs/libnfsidmap will be uninstalled after the installation:
>>> Emerging (1 of 1) net-fs/nfs-utils-2.2.1::gentoo
>>> Installing (1 of 1) net-fs/nfs-utils-2.2.1::gentoo
>>> Uninstalling net-libs/libnfsidmap-0.25-r1::gentoo
(In reply to Michael Baer from comment #4) > (possible) workaround: > > USE="-kerberos" emerge nfs-utils > > At least it worked for me (no kerberos authentication required). > net-libs/libnfsidmap will be uninstalled after the installation: > > >>> Emerging (1 of 1) net-fs/nfs-utils-2.2.1::gentoo > >>> Installing (1 of 1) net-fs/nfs-utils-2.2.1::gentoo > >>> Uninstalling net-libs/libnfsidmap-0.25-r1::gentoo This workaround built it for me. I just wish we could get it to build normally. The same error happens with nfs-utils-2.2.2_rc1_p20171107. Created attachment 507228 [details, diff]

This patch solves also the same bug in version 2.2.2. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 634502 *** |
