Hello!

I got a Centrino Laptop with an ATI 9200 mobility graphics board. After emerging newest Xorg I wanted to use the new feature of DynamicClocks which reduces the clock speed of the Radeon when the system idles. It's a good thing for laptops regarding less power consumption. Problem is, there appears corruption on the desktop window when DynamicClocks is enabled. Not instantly, but after you dragged some windows around.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tra Radeon 9200, maybe 9100, 9000
2. Turn on DynamicClocks
3. Drag some windows around your desktop

Actual Results:  
Screen gets messy

I will of course post to Xorg log. I just want to wait until the corruption happens again.

As you can see, there's nothing in the logs regarding the corruption. The log
doesn't change when the corruption occurs. Anyway.

So just to confirm: you encounter this corruption ONLY when DynamicClocks is on. If you just turn that off and restart X, there's no problem?

Hi!

I just installed kernel 2.6.9 and reenabled DynamicClocks an hour ago. No more corruption, even after massive window opening, movie watching and gaming.

Thanks to the fellows that fixed it!
