Please disregard the "cannot find the create new attachment link". Obviously, I
found it.

I don't think this is postgresql bug.

After playing around, I found that I ran out of disk space. After making room, emerging the last version of postgresql with
emerge "=postgresql-7.4.5"
worked without a flaw.

Maybe it's just a question of stating the right error message.
