Have you read the documents and instructions at http://members.jcom.home.ne.jp/jacobi/linux/softwares.html ? to be honest - i havn't;> i've read it now and i've found nothing except: " WARNING: Depending on your motherboard and/or hardware components, enabling powersaving mode may cause: [...] * system locks or instability If you met those problems, you should not use athcool." i undestand that some programs can couse some troubles, but in he other hand that's why masking mechanizm exist, am i wrong? BTW: i've also found on that page, that program is tested and works fine with my chip (KT333) and as i wrote before - i havn't got any troubles with it in older kernels I'm not really sure what there is to do but maybe the kernel guys can give a little input. try with athcool-3.8 |
