Description Stéphane Veyret 2017-08-19 13:00:56 UTC
Version 0.11 of rEFInd has been released. Previous version 0.10.9 (neither in Gentoo) introduiced some changes which should be carefuly taken into account.

Message from Rod Smith:
Note that this version includes
significant new options for the build process when using TianoCore. You
can still use the "tiano" target series to build with UDK2014; however,
a new "edk2" target series exists to build with newer versions of
TianoCore. The Makefile's EDK2BASE variable now points to the TianoCore
version used with the "edk2" target, and a new TIANOBASE variable points
to the TianoCore version used with UDK2014. This is all documented in
more detail in the BUILDING.txt file. The GNU-EFI build process is
unchanged.

I've tried to make this as painless as possible, but if you're using
TianoCore, you may need to customize the Makefile in a slightly
different way than before.

Hi,
I faced some problems when trying to create the ebuild. Because I am very busy at the moment, I couldn't work more on it…

Is it correct, that you still want to maintain this package in general?

Hi Jonas,

(In reply to Jonas Stein from comment #5)
> Is it correct, that you still want to maintain this package in general?

I actually have many things to do both for my boss and for my personal life. That's why I have very little time to spend on this maintenance.

I should be co-maintainer with @wraeth, but I think he is as busy as I am… ;-) I don't mind staying maintainer, but if you feel that someone else should take my place, it's not a problem for me.

Per comment 7, this is now done. I've kept the current build system(s) for now and will look at implementing the new build system later.

It does not address bug 627744 as I don't yet have an environment set up to test with, but will be done soon (unless Stéphane gets to it before I do).
