At somebody's suggestion, I tried with gcc-6.4.0 with the same result. I can confirm that this also happens also on upgrading from libxslt-1.1.28-r5 which I was able to install (apparently). How about libxslt-1.1.32? Seems to work for me. I can confirm that dev-libs/libxslt-1.1.34-r1 builds fine abi_x86_x32! Created attachment 681973 [details]
