Description Cláudio F. Gil 2004-08-31 17:26:00 UTC
I have network running and I can ping internet hosts by ip. The /etc/resolv.conf files has entries and I can ping them. Konqueror reports that it failed to locate the server. I can't ping a internet name as if no DNS was found. If I disconnect kppp, logout and login again when I start kppp again everyhing works.
I'm not sure that this is really KDE related but is how I experience the problem.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Login to KDE
2.Start KPP and connect
3.Open Konqueror and go for www.google.com
4.Logout KDE (End Session Only)
5.Login to KDE
6.Start KPP and connect
7.Open Konqueror and go for www.google.com
Actual Results:
The first time I try to access Google an error message is shown. The server
could not be found "Unknown host". The second time (7.) the page is presente
properly and all applications use DNS normally.

Expected Results:
Well, the page should be presented correctly right at step 3.
