Torsten, that are good news. In order to ensure a good start, I suggest, that you get in contact with the proxy maintainer team. Is https://github.com/xelerance/ your account? You can prepare your overlay there and we help you with the first PR to the gentoo tree. If you are fine with IRC, I suggest to have a look at #gentoo-dev-help and #gentoo and #gentoo-proxy-maint Here are a few needful links for the meantime: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Gentoo_GitHub https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Gentoo_git_workflow (In reply to Jonas Stein from comment #1) > Torsten, that are good news. > In order to ensure a good start, I suggest, that you get in contact with the > proxy maintainer team. > > Is https://github.com/xelerance/ your account? Xelerance is the company currently in charge of xl2tpd development. The link was merely used to reveal details on the bug. IRC is fine. I will read up on your links, prepare my stuff and get in contact within the next days. Looking forward. We no longer use these bugs. See: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Proxy_Maintainers/User_Guide#Taking_over_an_existing_package i.e. basically we'll add you as soon as you submit some meaningful change to the package (bugfix, bump, etc.) (In reply to Michał Górny from comment #3) > We no longer use these bugs. My ebuild has in between been reviewed by some community members and should be ready to go. I had still been waiting for the outcome of my request about the future of the dnsretry patch and just noticed the uncommented feature tag added 9 days ago by xl2tpd upstream: <https://github.com/xelerance/xl2tpd/issues/134> Will submit my pull request very soon.
