Description Will Rogers 2002-08-08 21:21:31 UTC
This is an update of dev-perl/AxKit. I updated the version to 1.6 and updated
the dependencies correspondingly. (Please see my submitted ebuilds for
XML-LibXML, XML-NamespaceSupport, and XML-LibXSLT also.)

There were bugs in the previous version (1.5.2-r1) that were causing my apache
to segfault. This newer version corrects those problems.

Depends on (all my submissions):

XML-LibXML-1.52 (Bug 6233)
XML-NamespaceSupport-1.07 (Bug 6232)
XML-LibXSLT-1.50 (Bug 6234)

Sorry for the delay, will be getting to this shortly, just didn't want you
thinking it might be lost in the shuffle. (Shortly is in the next day or so,
post if you need this checked much sooner than that)
Comment 4 Michael Cummings (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-08-19 02:26:31 UTC
Axkit and the three upgraded deps have masked and submitted to portage for
testing. All four installed just fine in both perl 5.6.1 and perl 5.8.0
(following some tweaks of the support mod_perl and XML-SAX packages, but that's
unrelated). Will let you know when they go unmasked.

But Axkit 1.6 doesn't see it :'-(

checking for module mod_perl >= version 1.17... no
AxKit requires mod_perl to be able to even run. You do not appear to
have mod_perl installed (or your mod_perl is earlier than version 1.17).

You can download mod_perl from http://perl.apache.org/

Rigo,

Re-emerge mod_perl. It looks like although mod_perl was originally installed,
you might have updated perl (there were a number of corrected ebuilds released
recently for 5.6.1 to address issues with the original ebuild) recently and the
mod_perl information was lost. From my local machine:

asimov AxKit # emerge AxKit-1.6.ebuild

checking for module mod_perl >= version 1.17... yes

FYI, ignore the -r1 in that last post, the -r1 is from a test copy of mod_perl
for an upcoming update to the perl-module.eclass
Comment 8 Rigo 2002-08-20 19:54:50 UTC
ROFL - Then ignore my -r1 (see #6714) also ;-D

Comment 9 Michael Cummings (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-09-09 16:57:36 UTC
This is on hold until the freeze lifts (though once it does, this and the three
other modules you've submitted are already in portage, masked).

Smile! At long last we are in a complete thaw - this is unmasked
