commit 018a26b2c4f8e822f5ceb9efdaa414629bba1db5 Author: Charlie Sharpsteen <chuck@puppet.com> Date: Wed May 17 09:41:54 2017 -0700 (PUP-7558) Remove unmaintained editor extensions This commit removes two editor extensions that pre-date the Puppet 4 language: - ext/emacs/: No meaningful update since 2014 - ext/vim/: No meaningful update since 2009 Extensions such as this make more sense as separate projects so that updates can be shipped independently from the Puppet release cycle. I have removed the support for installing the emacs and xemacs editing modes. USE=emacs now pulls in app-emacs/puppet-mode instead. This package is a maintained fork of the code in puppet 4.x. USE=xemacs is currently removed until a similar package has been added or xemacs decides not to support this. Nothing to do for ruby or gnu-emacs here. This bug is waiting for resolution on the xemacs side only. |
