This bug is really about having a Portage version dependency in the mozilla ebuild. I encountered the same problem some time ago, after the DEPEND="foo? bar : oni" USE flag format was introduced in Portage. Can't remember exactly which version that was, but you can always check http://www.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/gentoo-src/portage/ChangeLog?rev=HEAD&content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup for a full ChangeLog. Mozilla maintainer: care to add the missing dependency? What is the missing dependancy? Where should I add it? *** Bug 6227 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I found my problem. I had an old version of portage (1.9 something). After upgrading to 2.0, the problem went away. I got the old version from the stage three tarball. You might want to tell people to upgrade portage (or even upgrade world) after they install gentoo. Well, your problem is solved, but the bug isn't fixed until the Portage dependency is added. I'll reopen so Azarah doesn't forget ;) Should be fixed. |
