I am unable to reproduce this. That exit status probably means it was killed by a SEGFAULT. Can you please try with PaX disabled? Would also be interesting to look at: - ninja backtrace when it fails - strace log - dmesg output for crashed ninja Created attachment 475318 [details]

Just confirmed the build on hardened is sucessful with gcc-7.1.0-r1
