Batch Burner with Queues version 20040716 ebuild

Description Jeff Connelly 2004-08-27 22:42:49 UTC
Hi,

Attached is an ebuild for BBQ. "Batch Burner with Queues" uses cdrecord to easily burn audio CDs without the need for a GUI. The whole process is automated as much as possible and multiple albums can be queued then burned, without any user interaction except insertion and removal of the discs.

Albums can be queued via the filesystem (possibly over a network), a CGI script, or over the PSTN using VoiceXML.

File under app-cdr/bbq.

Thanks,
-Jeff Connelly

bbq Linux default configuration file

Suitable default configuration file for BBQ on Linux. Assumes albums are in
~/music.

The thing with the configuration is a little bit tricky. You can't just create ~/music. A global default configuration and a local per user config would be finer.

Furthermore you should use 'dobin' in ebuilds instead of 'install'.

I must state, I'm currently against adding this ebuild into portage. There are already several other tools for writing audio-CDs. But you can still give me arguments why I _should_ add it into portage ;-)

Changing the resolution to "remind", so that I will look into this bug later.
