Description Pete Plank 2004-08-27 10:57:26 UTC
gtk+ 2.4.7 when used with Nautilus causes a corrupted strip to appear on right side of JPEG/PNG thumbnails. This bug was resolved by the Gnome team as a fix rolled into gtk+ 2.4.9.

The Gnome bug (now closed) is http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=150774

I can confirm that manually updating the existing gtk+ 2.4.7 ebuild to gtk+ 2.4.9 did indeed resolve the problem, so it would be fantastic if we could get a version bump to resolve this issue on Gentoo as well.

More information (including screenshot links) on this forum thread:

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge gtk+
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Corruption of JPEG/PNG thumbnails in Nautilus.

Provided normal Nautilus thumbnail generation.

yeah we know, it was in the changelog. That is -amongst other things- why it wasn't going stable.
