![]() Please post the output of "emerge -pv xorg-server" Are you running X as non-root or is something else special with your setup? Ah wait, this looks like a kernel issue and not X related. Make sure that the firmware files are available at the time when the i915 module is loaded. Is the i915 kernel driver builtin or as a module? Timestamps suggest builtin? If it's builtin, then the firmware has to be builtin as well into the kernel or included in initramfs. If built as module and module is included in initramfs, then the firmware needs to be as well Yeah sorry, it was my fault, I forgot to list the firmwares properly to get them compiled into the kernel :S I still see this errors... but I guess they are a different issue :/ [ 0.976546] [drm:lspcon_init] *ERROR* Failed to probe lspcon [ 0.976550] [drm:intel_modeset_init] *ERROR* LSPCON init failed on port B [ 0.977733] [drm] GuC firmware load skipped $ emerge -Opv xorg-server These are the packages that would be merged, in order: [ebuild R ~] x11-base/xorg-server-1.19.3:0/1.19.3::gentoo USE="glamor kdrive suid systemd udev xorg xvfb -debug -dmx -doc -ipv6 -libressl -minimal (-selinux) -static-libs -tslib -unwind -wayland -xephyr -xnest" 0 KiB Total: 1 package (1 reinstall), Size of downloads: 0 KiB Thanks! we can close this bug ? sure (at least for the original one) |
